TRADITIONAL TINIKLING

We created this tumblr account in order to provide resources that will help in learning tinikling.

Both Amanda and I have clapped, danced, choreographed, swayed, and performed tinikling all over. From a packed auditorium to grocery store aisles, from Filipino festivals to wal-mart parking lots. We hope to share our experience in a tradition that we regard as a landmark of Filipino folk-dance.

If this all works out right, then we will post ground rules. videos, written-out choreography, and other updates of schedules in the coming weeks.

See you at practice,

Martin

please don’t mind our mistakes…at least we kept going

We hope that you can use this as a visual guide. If not, it is understandable considering the multiple mistakes, but use the beat in order to guide how fast you are going to be dancing. If you are doing the fast part especially, then listen so that you can get a better feel of the beat.

Thanks

Amanda and Martin
