TRADITIONAL TINIKLING

We created this tumblr account in order to provide resources that will help in learning tinikling.

Both Amanda and I have clapped, danced, choreographed, swayed, and performed tinikling all over. From a packed auditorium to grocery store aisles, from Filipino festivals to wal-mart parking lots. We hope to share our experience in a tradition that we regard as a landmark of Filipino folk-dance.

If this all works out right, then we will post ground rules. videos, written-out choreography, and other updates of schedules in the coming weeks.

See you at practice,

Martin

Choreography

This is a copy of the choreography written out. For those of you who need to be caught up, the names are self-explanatory but if you need clarification, please feel free to ask. Use this as a reference if you forget anything. The better you have the order and the choreography down in your head, the better you can perform when on stage.
